What is Typography

Typography is the design and use of typefaces as a means of communication. it is considered to have begun with Gutenberg and development of move able type,but typography has its roots in handwritten letter forms.Typography encompasses everything from calligraphy through digital type and type on Web pages.

Font Helvetica

Helvetica is one of the most popular typefaces in the world. Technically speaking,it's a sans serif Grotesque typeface,inspired by and based on the Akzidenz-Grotesk typeface created by Berthold around 1898.

Helvetica History

The original Helvetica was designed in Switzerland in 1957 by Max Miedinger and Eduart Hoffman at the has type foundry.It is a neo-grotesque or realist design,one influenced by the famous 19th century typefaces Akzidenz-Grotesk and other German and Swiss design.One of the most popular typefaces of the 20th century,its use became a hallmark of the International Typographic Style that emerged from the work of Swiss designer in the 1950s and 60s.

Biography

Max Alfons Miedinger.

Born : December 24, 1910 in Zurich.

Died : March 8, 1980 in Zurich.

1926, Max Miedinger was urged by his father to complete an apprenticeship in typesetting at Jacques Bollmann printing office in Zurich.
1930 to 1936 he worked as a typesetter.
1936 he worked as a typographer in the advertising department at Globus, Zurich's.
1954 he created his first typeface design : Pro Arte.

Eduard Hoffmann

Born : May 26,1892 in Zurich.

Died : September 17,1980 in Basel.

The beginning of aviation, completed study trips and internships in Zurich, Berlin, and Munich to learn more about technology and engineering.
1917 he took on a position at the Has Typefoundry.
Making typography and typefaces his new line of business.

Artwork reflect myself

Fatimah is myself,someone particularly galling,fussy ,always nagging, humour and also not like dirt.Besides that,I also had studied myself by asking about and attitude myself with family,friends and people who get to know myself. From my study many that agree with me.Therefore,I made a writing that is correct right annoying and for repellent other people with my name writing.

Color used

I had used 2 color in my typography namely green and black. I black entry because black is one color that strong,sad,classical and mystical. Meanwhile green is my favorite color that show me like to green nature,green and calm trees.
